After opening an album you will see, among others, the following buttons above the index page:
Open this help file.
Start the slide show, not alweays present. Select, before you click this button the first time, the slide show properties on the viewer settings page.
Use full screen for this album.
Back to the home page or the page with the link to this album.
Open a 'Share'window to share the album via Whatsapp (only on a smart phone), Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook of Email.
Open the viewer settings page.
These icons can also have a color and are sometimes partly transparent. One or more of these buttons may be absent.
Click on the album title or the theme photo if these buttons are not visible. Sometimes it is possible to conceal the buttons (again) by clicking on the album title or on the theme picture.
If visible, the next buttons are used for navigation from the index page:
Go back to the beginning album.
Previous album.
Next album.
Click on a thumbnail to enlarge. Click, if available, on the Play icon or press the Enter key to start a slide show. If the album creator did implement the slide show, you can also start the slide show by pressing the space bar or clicking the Play icon in the upper right tool-bar above the the enlarged image. You can stop the slide show by pressing the space bar or clicking the Play icon again.
Your photos look best in 'Full-screen' mode. To come in 'Full screen' mode on a PC click the 'Full screen' button:. To go back to normal mode, just press that button again or press the Esc key again. However it is easier to select on the viewer settings page 'Use full screen for a picture: yes'.
On the index page it is possible by clicking the Settings iconto adjust a number of properties: You can adapt the font size used for the descriptions: you may reduce the font size to 50% or enlarge it to 200%. In the same way you can adapt the button size. You can also adapt the viewing time per picture, the slide transition effect and the transition time in a slide show.
You can also choose to disable the automatic start of background music if you open an album. On some devices you get here to select the possibility to automatically use the whole screen for an enlarged photo.
Using the keyboard in the display of the enlarged photo:
Use the spacebar for the stop/play function if the slide show is implemented, else the next image will be displayed.
Use left/right arrow keys for navigation to previous/next picture.
The Esc key closes the enlarged image and displays the index page.
Use the E key to display the EXIF information.
Use the S key to open the 'Share'window.
Use the L key to show the location in Google Maps, works only if the 'Show location in Google Maps' is included in the menu.
Using the left mouse button:
Click in a picture to zoom-in. Hold down the left mouse button to pan through a (panoramic-) picture.
Click again to zoom-out.
Sometimes zooming is not possible because this click function is used to start / stop the slide show or to proceed to the next image.
Click left or right outside the photo to return to the index page.
Click the left or right arrow to display the previous / next photo.
Hold down the left mouse button on the photo and move the photo to the left to go to next photo or slide the photo to the right to go to the previous photo.
If the mouse is not moved 4 or more seconds, the buttons and text around the photo will be hidden. Move the mouse to show it again.
Above an enlarged photo you see in the upper right corner a maximum of 9 icons:
The first button is used to zoom-in or zoom-out (not always present).
The second button is used to open the 'Share' window to share the photo via Whatsapp, Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook of Email. (not always present).
The third button is used to Start / Stop the slide show (not always present).
The 4th button is used to show the photo in a full screen window (not always present).
Clicking the 5th button will start downloading the image (not always present).
Clicking the 6th button will show the EXIF data of the photo (not always present).
The 7th button is used to show the location in Google Maps (not always present).
The next button opens a thumbnails strip below the image (not always present).
The last button brings you back to the index page.
Using the keyboard on the index page:
Use the Enter key to start the slide show at the first picture if the slide show has been implemented, else enlarge the first picture.
Use the H key to open or close the Help window.
Use the S key to open or close the Settings window.
Use the F key to open the 'Share' window.
Use the up arrow key to return to the parent page.
Use left/right arrow keys for navigation to previous/next index page or album.
Use the Home key to close the index page and go to the Home page.
Use the I key to open a page with more information about the subject of the album.
Use the T key to download the GPS track.
Use the E key to show the route in the Google Earth program.
Use the down-arrow key or the M key to show the route in Google Maps. Then press the cross in the top right corner of the map to return.
The album creator may have omitted one or more of the last 5 possibilities.
Up to 7 text-buttons and / or icons may be displayed below the thumbs on the index page with as default functions:
Go to previous album
Download GPS track
Show route in a Google Maps web page
Show route in the Google Earth program
Show a page with more information about the subject of the album.
Go to the Home web page
Go to next album
However other functions can also be assigned to these buttons.
Click if you see at the bottom of the index screen a black bar with a triangle at the triangle to play music. In a large album with sub-albums the music can mostly be selected in the main menu.
These functions may also be represented by text links in an optional menu bar at the top of the index page.
